This Past Week and Easter...

We had a wonderful week this past week as I was off work Thursday and Friday for the Easter holidy. Ethan went to the see Dr. Salem and he checked out perfectly; he is now 9lbs 8oz and 23 inches long. He is growing like a weed... Leah went to see Dr. McCloskey and of course we had to take Ethan to show him off. I'm sure she appreciates seeing her handy work in the weeks following the birth, she said he was so cute. Ethan has been doing great on the homefront, as you can see below, he has made friends with Ziggy and is currently working on a relationship with Lucy and Toby. Ethan is beginning to enjoy his baths and being naked as a jaybird. Of course this weekend was Easter and with Easter comes the Easter bunny. On Saturday Granny and Poppa, Courteney, Chris, and Ella, Great Uncle Gayle and Great Aunt Carmen came over for some Chicken, Roasted Corn on the cob, and some excellent Eggplant Caserole. Aunt Carmen and Uncle Gayle also brought over some excellent Banana pudding. On Sunday Memaw and Grandad came over and cooked some Goulash and some cornbread... It was a wonderful dinner. After dinner Grandad and I went and picked up some Blubell for desert. We watched Marley and Me and it was a good movie. Below are some pictures from this past week for all to enjoy.

Ethan and his many faces...

Ethan is absolutely amazing to Leah and I. He makes the most awesome faces and makes Leah and I laugh all the time. It is almost as though you can see the wheels just burning up inside his little head wondering what everything is... For the past few nights I have been snapping pictures of Ethan trying to catch all of his faces and I think I have got some great ones... Since Ethan was born, I have racked up nearly 3 gigs of pictures and I love everyone of them... More to come soon...

Great Rue Rue and Great Uncle Gary came to visit from Mississippi...

Rue Rue was biting at the bit to get into Houston to see the baby... After two weeks, she was finally able to come and visit Ethan. Gary, Leah's Uncle, drove her over here from Mississippi for a quick trip. Myself, Leah, Rue Rue, Gary, My Mom, and My Dad all enjoyed a Southern Living recipe of almond encrusted pan fried tilapia, sweet potatoes, and green beans; of course Ethan had his regular...Milk. It was great to see our family from Mississippi. It was also cool to see 4 generations all in one room.

Granny This Past Week...

Granny AKA Blake's Mom came over this week and was a huge help... We enjoyed having her here as she was a tremendous help just like Memaw... We are so blessed to have people in our lives that are willing to help us in every way possible... Thanks again Granny and we love you with all our hearts...

Everything is Awesome at the Lowry House...

Ethan Blake Lowry is doing great and growing like a weed... This past Wednesday (his 2 week birthday) Ethan went to see Dr. Salem, his pediatrician, and she said he was perfect. He is 21.5 inches long, and 8 pounds 2 ounces. Aside from the doctors office, everything is great on the home front. Ethan is getting baths, taking family pictures, eating, sleeping, and using the restroom. Ethan is definitely the most incredible thing Leah and I have ever seen. BTW his little umbilical stump has now fallen off so we got our first look at his cute belly button...

Great weekend with Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Great Aunts, and Cousins...

Ethan was a busy little man this weekend... First of all on Saturday, Granny, Poppa, Aunt Coco, Unc Chris, Cousin Ella, Great Aunt Doris, and Great Aunt Darla all came over to visit the little guy. It was also special because it was the first time for Little Ethan and Little Ella to meet each other... They are only 4 months apart and they are going to grow up together... Granny and Poppa brought over Steaks and Sweet potatoes for dinner and we enjoyed a wonderful fun filled day of cooking eating and visiting with family. On Sunday Granddad and Memaw came over and they brough us an Oreck Vacume cleaner to improve our carpets and to improve the air quality in the house. We enjoyed a good day with them as well. Granddad is a truck driver and he is headed out on a run, so he wanted to visit and hold Ethan before he had to go. All in all it was a wonderful weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed having our closest family over...
